For the past 2 years, I started watching football like a maniac and stopped playing it physically. When I realized making it into the professional side of football seems impossible for me now, I took a total drop from playing it.
Getting up at 4 am and hitting the ground replaced by watching matches till 3 am followed by a heavy snack.
Fitness and goalkeeping sessions in the evening replaced by going all the way to the stadium and supporting my home team.
Everything got flipped to being virtual, I began to lose interest in playing football and started to spend more time and passion for watching it. Alright, there is nothing wrong with this, but the byproducts of this shift put me into serious problems.
Being a Goalkeeper I was always flexible and in shape, could dive, was having great reflexes, and had extraordinary stamina. I stopped going to coaching academy’s and invested that time playing on the street and other adult players.
These improved my every skill at a very fast pace than I had developed during my academy days.
Fast-forwarding after 2 years and now, things now went out of the hands. All my skills from reflexes to stamina came rock bottom to 0. I am getting out of breath climbing up the stairs at times, wheezing strikes me almost every day, and laziness became my best friend.
And yea I am completely out of shape developing fats on my body.
Sooner Ima gonna break my comfort shell and take up my boots wash them and it's time I guess. I can’t make it into professional but I would be in my greatest shape.
The love of tech lowered my love for all my outdoor activities, which should be revert asap.
